Asked 3/15/2016- Houston, TX

My son is 18 years old and was charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon, but the aggravated was dropped to Robbery -Bodily Injury . He got 4 years and sent to
Garza West. He sent me a letter saying they marked him there as 3G but he has a short way and an eligibility date of 5/11/16.. The Judge did not give my son a 3g charge, so how can Garza West mark him with a 3G?

Answer

Please remember that parole is not a right. The Parole board can review your son’s case and determine parole eligibility at their discretion.
