Can I get the distribution charge removed since no one else saw it happen. What are some likely punishments I could get?

I got caught with half a gram of xanax in school. I GAVE some to a kid in the bathroom and he passed out and told on me. I didn’t sell it to him. I’m 17 and they charged me with possession, under the influence, and distribution. I don’t have an attorney yet and my court date is coming up.

You need to speak with a local attorney. You say “no one else saw it”. What about the kid you gave the drugs to? That constitutes delivery; no money has to exchange hands. I’m not sure of the exact charges, so I can’t tell you the punishment range for each case. A local attorney can look up the charges and tell you what you are facing.
