on march 27 I got pulled over for what a sheriff deputy said I was following too close, the thing is I was driving at 65 mph on the highway and even thought he gave me a warning he actually issued me a citation for no insurance. on march 11 I had my court date but they did not have the ticket and the deputy did not show up today I went again and again no ticket no deputy is this a dismissal by deferred adjudication? no one is proving me guilty of anything so no ticket no cop no fine right?

Answer

Deferred adjudication is a probation order entered by a Judge. You must enter a plea of guilty or no contest to receive this type of probation. It does not sound like the process has been satisfactorily explained to you, so you might want to talk with a local attorney about your options.
