1) You have to comfortable with the attorney who is representing you and believe the advice you are getting is the best possible. 2) You want an attorney who is familiar with local polices, procedures, recommendations and programs of the prosecutor, probation department and courts. In selecting counsel, do not make your decision because someone tells you what you what to hear “You’ll be fine. Your probation will be continued…etc”. Get someone who will tell you the truth.
