My husband is in jail for a FTA/VOP with an out of county hold no bond. He also has a bond of 1000 in the county he is being held. He was arrested two weeks ago.

Answer

Do NOT post the bond on the case in the county where your husband is being held. Address and finalize the case in that county first, then let him be transferred. Otherwise, if you post a bond before the new case is finalized, and your husband is transferred to the second county, he may not be released from that second county in time to appear for the court date in the first county. His bond will be forfeited, a new warrant and hold will issue, and you will be on the hook to pay the whole bond and your husband will be no closer to his release. Hire a local attorney to help.
