Asked 4/9/2016 – Denton, TX

I was put on deferred adjuadjudication for a 2nd degree felony when I was 14.I’m now 26. Last December I was arrested for a alcohol public intoxication. I ran out of time to pay the fine and they overturned my plea to guilyguilty. I recently applied for a apartment and it saisaid conditional. Does that mean my juvenile record has come back to haunt me 14 years later? I’m worried

Answer

Juvenile records are generally not available to the public. Request the results of your background check from the apartment complex.
