Will he for sure be released on his Projected Release Date if not released sooner?

My husband is in prison and his Projected Release Date is 5/1/16. Will he for sure get out on that day if not released sooner? Or does he have to be approved for parole. He has not been in any fights or trouble period so there would be no reason to hold him longer for being in trouble. Will he for sure be home on May 1st if not released sooner?

Answer

It is NOT guaranteed that your husband will be released on his projected release date. He does have to be approved for parole, and you will not know the exact date he will be released until a couple of days before it happens.
