Asked 4/14/2016 – San Antonio, TX

Original charge is injury to a child. Subsequently charged with poss cs/manufacturing felony 1. Out on bail. Bench warrant issued yesterday for FTA, I’m assuming for arraignment.

Answer

The situation you describe is unclear. Are there 2 charges pending (injury to a child and the drug case)? Were bonds posted on both cases? Have both cases been indicted? Did the bond company receive notice of the court setting? Did the attorney of record receive notice? What was yesterday’s setting for (don’t assume, ask)? Call the attorney and find out what is the next step. You can request a new attorney, but like most things in life, you get what you pay for. The court is the one who is paying for the attorney, so it is the court, not you, who decides if your attorney is representing you properly.
