My boyfriend was out on probation for 10 years. He has violated probation with 3 new misdemeanors and 3 new felonies. The 3 felonies are possession of a controlled substance less than a gram. the other felony is the unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He had 2 guns and assault to a police officer. Does anyone know how likely it is to be put back on probation or if he would serve time. It is in Texas.
Answer
I had a Judge tell me a long time ago, gums and drugs don’t mix. When a person is placed on probation he/she is telling the court, “This case was a one time mistake; if you don’t put me in jail, I’ll never get in trouble again!” You boyfriend got SIX new cases while on probation. In all likelihood, he will be sent to prison… for a long time.
