How long after being assigned a court appointed attorney does it take to get a court date for a criminal felony?

My boyfriend got a court appointed attorney 2 weeks ago and now we are waiting patiently for his court date.. Does anyone know usually how long it takes to get a court date after you’ve been assigned a court appointed attorney for a felony charge?

Answer

Being assigned a court appointed attorney has no bearing on when a court date will be assigned. Has your boyfriend’s case been indicted by a Grand Jury? Is it a drug case; have lab results for the alleged substance been returned? Talk with the attorney and see what’s going on.
