I was in ulta, they thought i stole something when i handed my puppy to my boyfriend to take to the car, they called the cops. In reviewing the video tape with the cops they saw that i didn’t steal anything…..
when the cops got there i realized i had 3 items in my purse from when i went digging to answer my phone (by the way, i also had a shopping cart of $200 worth of items, i was not attempting to steal in any way, it was by complete accident) i ended up paying for all of the items including the ones in my purse.
Ulta still wanted criminal trespassing charges filed (meaning i cannot go back for a year) but they didn’t have me sign any documents or anything, but the store was given a case number.

I have no previous criminal records, not even a speeding/parking ticket, it was an honest mistake

Were you arrested or given a citation for you to appear in any court? If you were given any paperwork regarding this incident, bring it to a local attorney for review; it is impossible to determine the status of this matter from what you describe.
