I am trying to take care of my tickets and I am required to take a Drivers Safety Course but for that I need a DL number. Can I use the DL # that is on my Temporary Permit? Or do I have to wait until I get my actual DL?

The license number on your temporary permit will be the same number when your permanent driver’s license is assigned. Contact the court, however, before you schedule the defensive driving class; you are to have a valid Texas driver’s license before a defensive driving class can be granted to resolve a citation, so see if the court will accept your permit. If not, contact a local attorney to see if some other plea can be entered to keep these tickets from your record.
