Can attorney just answer questions and case closed or will there still be a hearing reviewing issues

Writ pending in husband’s case regarding ineffective counsel. Court sent us a copy of issues sent to attorney requesting answers on controverted issues of case

Answer

In reviewing a writ for ineffective assistance of counsel, it is normal for the court to send the attorney in question a list of the controverted issues on the handling of the case. The Judge will review the responses, and decide if a hearing is required; that decision is discretionary with the Court.
