Boyfriend in jail for violating a protective order

Answer

The fact that the protective order expires in August has no bearing on whether your boyfriend violated the terms of the protective order BEFORE it expired. If he cannot make bond, he will remain in jail until his case is disposed if, either by plea bargain or by trial. The Court will appoint an attorney to represent him if he remains in jail, and that attorney will go over your boyfriend’s options once the case is filed (which can be done even after August).
