Asked 5/16/2016 – Fort Worth, TX

Ok, so there’s this girl I dated she’s 28 and I’m 19, well she’s very insecure, and she is the type of girl, to say things that I didn’t do and to get me arrested. Is there anything I can do to protect myself from her? I do have a voice recorder of her giving consent. But other than that she is the type to get me in BIG trouble.

Answer

If this woman has made any physical threats against you, you MAY be entitled to a protective order. If her behavior is just unpredictable, change your phone number, block her from all social media and have nothing to do with her. After that, move on; you can’t undo what has already been done. If she makes up a story, she makes up a story and you will have to deal with it if and when that happens. There is nothing you can do proactively to prevent it.
