Asked 5/23/2016 – Houston, TX

I was arrested in houston and charged with poss cs pg 4 < 28, i have been to court 3 times and we are still waiting on the police reports, not to say i have a prescription for the medicine they charged me with, now they put me on pretrial supervision, at the cost of 65.00 a month i have not even been found guilty or innocent. Is this the normal protocol?

Answer

If you have prescriptions for the drugs in question, make sure your attorney has that proof. This could or should have been presented to possibly avoid the filing of the cases against you. On your specific question, the court can impose whatever conditions of bond it deems necessary, which includes pretrial supervision. Get copies of the prescriptions to the District Attorney ASAP.
