Asked 5/23/2016 – Waco, TX

What is the minimum to maximum sentence in Texas for Bail Bond’s forfeiture?

Answer

Bond forfeiture is not an offense. It means the terms of the bond posted in a particular criminal case has not been met, so the bond is essentially removed and a warrant is re-issued for the arrest of the defendant. The punishment range for the original criminal case does not change after a bond forfeiture
