Previous arrests (all same charge) actually arrested for theft 50-200 .(100 was amount they claimed but I never saw what they said I stole ) I had also purchased 265.00 worth of groceries.
I am now looking at 12 mths SJ, I have read about 1244a but didn’t know if I could ask for that. I am looking on best advice I am sole caregiver for disabled sister (she has MD). I also have 2 children (10/12) that their father is out of state for 6 mths with work, i was in “rehab” but had a slip up and now all the ppl that count on me are about to left alone. I know I did wrong and I’m Willing to take probation serve weekends or house arrest. I just don’t know if these things are options for me . Looking for help

There are options under the law and there are the options available to you in your particular case. Yes, a charge CAN be reduced, enhancement paragraphs CAN be strickened from an indictment, you CAN be granted probation, etc. Whether a District Attorney or judge WILL do any of these things is something for you and your attorney to discuss.
