Asked 6/17/2016 – Abilene, TX

I violated parole with a class a misdemeanor. What would be the worst case scenario? I have 6 months left on parole.

Answer

The worst cases scenario for your parole violation is for you to be returned to prison for the remainder of your prison term. If and when the motion to revoke to parole is filed, your parole release date no longer applies. The new class a misdemeanor is punishable by confinement in the county jail for up to one year, and a fine of up to $4,000.
