Hi, I have kind of a long story and I just want to make sure what the police officer is doing is right. My boyfriend got pulled over a few weeks ago for speeding, but he also had some Wax, (thc) not sure if you know what that is. But they took his wax and the piece he was smoking out of. They only gave him a speeding ticket. Then they called and said he’ll have a warrant for his arrest because they made a mistake not arresting him. Then they said we’ll forgive everything if you tell us who you buy from. So my boyfriend agreed to meet and they never answered. Today they texted him and said they were filing his case, we leave for Mexico Saturday. Is there anything we can do? They knew we were leaving this week.

Make sure there is not a warrant for his arrest when you try to leave the country! Contact a local attorney. You have no control over whether a criminal case is filed or not, but an attorney can determine if a warrant is outstanding and get a bond amount set so you can post the required bond. That attorney can also speak with the Judge in the court where the case is assigned to make sure there is no problem with your boyfriend leaving on vacation
