Person was out on parole after being in prison 21 yrs (now age 46). Original charges were multiple charges of theft (or robbery) and assault on a police officer. The new charges are 1) violation of parole 2) evading arrest and 3) possession of <2oz marijuana

A violation of parole could cause the parolee to be returned to prison for the balance of his/her prison sentence, whatever that was. Evading arrest is a class a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of up to $4,000, confinement in the county jail for up to 1 year, or a probation term for up to 24 months. Possession of marijuana
