Is it o.k. for a criminal defense to pay travel, meals, and lodging expenses for a witness for the defense in a trial?

Is a private practice criminal defense allowed to pay for the ticket to fly a witness in for a criminal trial, and pay the hotel, cab from airport, and hotel?

Answer

Yes, paying for the accommodations of a potential witness is perfectly allowable by a defense attorney.
