Could state of Louisiana issue a warrant for arrest for all the states, due to a bad check written in casino?
The person didn’t even receive any notice or subpoena from the court or persecutor when the warren was issued.
The person didn’t pay because he is accusing the casino for cheating (there are witnesses who saw the dealer cheated).
But overall my main question is regarding the warren being issued in all States, can this person has any rights to object to this warrant?
Answer
Any State can issue a warrant for the arrest of an individual. Once that warrant is issued, all other states can arrest and detain that individual for extradition back to the state that issued the warrant. To contest the allegations, your friend must retain an attorney in the parish where the warrant was issued and enter a plea of not guilty.
