Asked 7/21/2016 – Amarillo, TX

My daughter has been charged with 2 misdemeanors in the past. She used her aunt’s card and is now being issued a warrant. Is there going to be any way she can take probation or how will this work.

Answer

It is way too early in the process to know what exactly will happen in your daughter’s case. If she has never been convicted of a felony, however, she is ELIGIBLE for probation. Whether the District Attorney will offer probation in a plea bargain, or whether the Judge will grant probation is another matter. Contact a local attorney.
