My fiance is in tdcj formby he can’t live with me and he would have to stay in halfway house how will all this work out for him if he don’t have a place to live like will he have to stay in jail or the halfway house for the whole 3 years and then will he be able to live with me then…. projected release date is in 12 months and maximum sentence is 3 years

Answer

You need to speak with your fiancée’s attorney; the maximum sentenced for any state jail felony is two years. Look on the TDCJ website to obtain his projected release date. When that date nears, parole will explain his options regarding living arrangements.
