I was pulled over for speeding I told the cop I was not speeding. I called OnStar, and they also confirmed this on my speed. The cop was driving while he was taking radar. I made a discovery, and they gave me the video of the stop, radar log, radar guide, and radar operations. There were two cars in front of him he was in the middle lane, and I was in the passing lane going toward him. Can someone please help me, I can’t get this ticket if I do then I can’t get a waiver to enter the Navy. Because after four no waiver allowed, please help!! The one time I am not spending. He said I was going 79 in a 65, but yes I was going over by 1.6 mph. (which they will not pull you over for.)
Answer
If you want to contest this matter, I suggest you contact a local attorney. You need legal advice as far as your options; police have the right to stop a vehicle for speeding if it is traveling 1 mile per hour over the posted speed limit, so please don’t let erroneous assumptions lead to a bad outcome. If you admit you were going 16 mph over the posted speed limit, you may want to consider options other than trial, unless you can show some special conditions existing at the time of the stop.
