Asked 8/4/2016 – Comanche, TX

My friends release date is May 2018 but has seen parole twice and is up again for the 3rd time in November. I’ve heard these kind of charges and sentences and is throwing months in there and it being odd number means you have to most of your time is that true,

Answer

Your friend was convicted of an aggravated offense. He will probably have to do most of his sentence, but odd or even numbered years has nothing to do with his chances of success with the Parole Board. The violent nature of the offense is the biggest obstacle.
