Asked 8/6/2016 – Denton, TX

I recently am waiting on my blood results to come back from the blood lab in the north Texas area. I called to see if maybe I can get an update on my blood result and I was told it was done and sent to Denton PD on July 23. The lady then told me my blood result. I never once identified myself. My blood result was below .08 but I’m wondering now since that was a breach of confidentiality will the whole test be thrown away now?

Answer

No, the lab should not have disclosed test results over the phone and no, it will not cause the test results to be “thrown out”. The results will be filed in your criminal case which the general public has access to anyway. Good luck on your case.
