My boyfriend is being charged with aggravated robbery but he didn’t commit no crime. He has 2years on parole left. And I need to find him a good lawyer to fight this. Because I know he didn’t do anything.
Answer
If your boyfriend has been previously been convicted of a felony and has a new aggravated robbery charge, he will be facing a first degree felony punishment range on the matter (up to 99 years in prison). Just because he has been indicted does not mean he is guilty. He has the right to a trial, the right to cross-examine any witnesses against him, the right to present witnesses on his own behalf and the right to force the State to prove the allegations against him beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately, since is on parole, he will probably have to remain in jail while this process plays out. Talk with as many attorneys as you can, retain the best one you can find, then start the journey.
