My husband’s mother remarried a couple of years ago and I just learned yesterday that her husband is a parolee who was convicted of murder, robbery and joyriding and spent 30 years in prison. She has let him around my kids, and he is using a slight alteration of his birthdate and spelling of his name on things like checks and what he tells other people. I suspect he does this intentionally to divert people from learning the truth about him. Can he get in trouble with the parole board if he is caught doing this? I’m not saying I want to turn him in, but my mother in law is a volatile person so if she (or he) ever tries to hurt us in any way I would consider it. Honestly, I don’t know how many different IDs he could have but I found someone a few years back using his name and slight alterations of it as aliases. Who would I report him to if I think he is being a fraud?

Answer

A person on parole will go through life undetected of any criminal activity until somebody notifies the authorities of said activity. Don’t play around with this guy. Don’t think you can hold something over his head. He has been convicted of MURDER! Report him to law enforcement immediately, or never mention his situation around anyone again.
