Asked 9/1/2016 – Dallas, TX

I don’t even remember who the check was written to or for what – it’s been so long ago. At any rate I took care of it and made restitution, plead no contest and was found guilty. This happened back in 2009 and has had no more cases like this. Is it possible to have it removed from my background or have it “non-disclosed”?

Answer

If a final conviction was entered, the only way to remove the matter from your criminal record is through pardon from the Governor. You cannot have the matter expunged or non-disclosed. Final convictions are just that: final.
