Asked 9/23/2016 – Lewisville, TX

So I got a ticket for no insurance. And the police showed up at the door telling me a had a warrant for my arrest. I had made a court payment and I could not make it on the date. They just put the warrant out as of 9/22/16. I was thinking they would not do a warrant for 30 days. My payment was due on the 1st of September

Answer

If you missed a court date or missed a scheduled payment, a warrant for your arrest can issue immediately. There is no 30 day waiting period before a warrant can issue.
