Asked 9/23/2016 – Rockwall, TX

I have gone to trial with my codefendant and he was found guilty for possession of two controlled substances sentenced to 12 years in prison. my question is can I get charged with the same drugs if he has already been convicted? because I am set for trial also just waiting on the date

Answer

Yes, you may be charged with possession of a controlled substance after a co-defendant was found guilty of possession of the same substance. If you want a different attorney, you have the right to dismiss your current attorney and retain counsel of your choice (at your cost).
