Asked 9/28/2016 – Houston, TX

Long story short, my grandmother was named as an executor for a college fund created by my great grandfather. The stipulation for withdrawal was that I had to be 18 years of age and enrolled in a university or in case of a dire emergency for ME. I just learned today that she wiped the entire account clean of $30,000 I have also not had any contact with her for over 12 years. So if charged criminally what would her exact charge be? And what are my options? Thank you in advance!

Answer

You must contact law enforcement to pursue criminal charges against your grandmother, and they would decide exactly how to pursue the matter. You may also contact a civil attorney in your area to see if anything can be done to restore your money.
