Can a charge of unauthorized use of vehicle felony be dropped to a misdemeanor in the state of Texas

I’m helping a friend who caught this charge. I myself was charged w felony arson in Dallas in 2003 and it got dropped to criminal mischief misdemeanor can this be done for him

Answer

Yes, it is possible to reduce any criminal charge, but that is done at the discretion of the prosecuting attorney. Your friend must have an attorney; it would be that attorney who can approach the DA about reducing the charges.
