Asked 6/26/17 – The Colony, TX
I got my 2nd DUI last month and got interlock installed. I recently blew hot and then 2 hours later i blew again and the car started with warn and I passed the rolling test. Should I let them know? I’m thinking about seeing an alcohol counselor as I have never seen one before. I don’t want to go to jail and end up losing my job. Please advise.
Answer
You may contact your bond supervision officer if you like, but it is the job of the interlock provider to notify court personnel of any violation, so your supervisor will probably already know what happened. The Judge will be notified of your violation and will then have the option of holding your bond insufficient and issuing a warrant for your arrest or not. You will also probably receive notice to appear in court soon regarding the violation, even if your DWI case has not been filed; make sure you have retained an attorney by that time who can appear with you in court. Good luck.
