I was recently caught stealing at a Walmart with a friend in Texas, we were brought into the back room gave the stolen stuff back and hey said no cops will be called. I asked allot of questions they said my name is just going to be in a Walmart database so they know they gave us a warning and if we get caught again then things will be more serious. They took a picture of me and then They also said we would get a letter in the mail and I asked if it was a charge or fee and they said no so I don’t know what the letter could be I gave the the address to my old house I didn’t have my wallet I gave them my real name phone number and no social security number. They said it would be about 17 days before we get the letter in the mail so I’m not sure what to expect I’m very worried it’s going to be a civil demand charge and have it be a high dollar amount but they kept saying there was no charges no police or anything. Please give me some advice

If you receive ant notice or calls from a court or a detective, contact a local attorney immediately. Otherwise, stay away from all Walmart stores. Your picture was placed in their security system, and if you are discovered on their premises, you will be subject to arrest for criminal trespass.
