I received a speeding ticket back in May. The court didn’t give me 30 days to pay it ($260). They have me 20 to pay it apparently. I paid it 23 days later. 2 months down the road and I have a warrant out for my arrest. Why? I paid my ticket. Should I go and turn myself in? I have a top secret security clearance I can’t afford to lose. I’m in the military.

If you did not pay the fine assessed by the assigned due date, the Court has the authority to issue a warrant for your arrest. If a warrant is in fact issued, however, and the amount due has increased due to warrant and/or late fees, the Court generally will not accept any payment other than the full amount due.
