In 2013 I got differed adjudication for a class A misdemeanor of theft. I successfully completed probation and got it sealed. I recently applied for a apartment and it still popped up. I thought this was not available to the public. Any advice? Thanks.

Yours is a common situation. Once a case is originally filed, the internet takes hold of of the information, and even if all courts and major background information companies comply with the non-disclosure order, it is impossible to remove information from every computer on the planet. Tell the apartment complex there must be some mistake, obtain a certified copy of your criminal record from the clerk in the county where your case was filed and ask the complex where they received the information about the case. Contact your attorney and make sure the background company that provided the information is served with notice of the non-disclosure so it can be removed from their system. Good luck.
