What do you do if you have a no insurance ticket and a warrant for not coming to court? and just paid the ticket 5 years later?

Asked 7/17/17 – San Antonio, TX

Have the money to pay ticket but license is expired and suspended do I just renew after paying. I have the paper in the mail to pay and I did. This was over 5 yrs ago and I just paid it. Just thought everything go away when I paid and I get everything back.

Answer

If you just pay a no insurance citation, your driver’s license will be subject to suspension and surcharges. Contact an attorney in the county where the ticket is pending before you do anything.
