I just turned 19 and there is this girl that is 16 in 5 months and we really like each other what is the law about dating

Answer

A 15 year old must obtain parental consent to marry. The age of consent for sexual contact in Texas is 17. See Texas Penal Code Section 22.011 – Sexual Assault, Section 21.11 – Indecency with a Child and Section 43.25 – Sexual Performance by a Child
