Husband did a shop lifting and already paid the store and court. How can we have the record removed?

His job might do background check and afraid the record will show and jeopardize his job. This happened 2014.

Answer

If a final conviction was entered on the case, the only way to have it removed from your husband’s criminal record is via pardon from the Governor. If an attorney represented you on this case, call her/him. If you did not have an attorney, call the court to see what type of judgment was entered (then call a local attorney for assistance).
