Asked 8/16/17 – Houston, TX
I was a Six Flags with a group of teenagers, some of them wanted to stay at the motel so I let them. The hotel office called the police because they said they were being loud and they smelled marijuana. One of the kids said they bought the marijuana from me. They found a box with individual bags of marijuana in it. So now they’re waiting to charge me with attempt to sell marijuana to a minor. They didn’t find and marijuana on my possession but they did find it in the hotel room. What can I do?
Answer
The short answer to your question: yes, your Houston probation officer will discover new charges filed in San Antonio. What to do? 1) Start talking with attorneys in San Antonio. 2) DO NOT talk about the facts of the new case with anyone other than that San Antonio attorney, either in person or on line. If you already have been arrested on the case in Bexar County, your PO may have already filed a motion to revoke your probation, so call the attorney who represented you on your Harris County case as well. Good Luck.
