Answer

It depends on the nature of the violation and the charges you were placed on probation for.. As a general rule, technical violations (late payment for court costs, ectc.) are given more latitude than picking up a new case, which almost always results in revocation and jail time. Contact the attorney who represented you on your case and discuss the specifics of the violation.
