I recently toy caught a drug Case And wanted to know What I’m facing I got A Lawyer already been a few months and haven’t heard anything.. I’m charged with Poss WI Del CS PG1 and this is my first felony…I understand it’s 5-99 but can anybody narrow it down more or less?

The exact charge you will face depends on the exact weight of the controlled substance. The contraband will be sent to a crime lab to determine its exact weight and chemical composition. The indictment of the case probably will not happen until the lab results come back (hence, the delay). There is also a difference in the punishment range on a manufacture & delivery case (Texas Health and Safety Code Section 481.112) and a possession case (Section 481.115). You can look at the statute, and I know the uncertainty is unsettling to you, but until your case is filed, alleging the type of drug, the weight and the exact charge, you can’t know the punishment range.
