Asked 1/28/2016 – Garland, TX

My boyfriend is in jail for a parole violation. Parole is waiting on a Class C misdemeanor to be resolved. The Class C misdemeanor was went to court and got a deferred adjudication. He has been sitting in jail since 11/25/15 and just wants time served. The city of Garland is insisting there is nothing we can do to speed up the process and are stating to get time served it needs to be a warrant.

Answer

You state there is a deferred adjudication order on the class c violation. The court clerks do not have the authority to change the Judge’s order. Get an attorney to go to the judge so the order can be changed. Then you can address the parole violation.
