Today my ex-girlfriend went to court for operation of an illegal daycare, and injury to a child..
The kid set his pants on fire in her backyard while she was tending another kid inside..
She was on felony probation at the time and now with these charges being held against her they revoked her probation and now shes in jail, I don’t know if she picked up these new occurring charges or if they just revoked her probation and shes just doing time for her prior charges that lead to her being on probation..
I’m going to speak with the DA hopefully tomorrow to see if there’s anything I can accomplish simply speaking to him and informing him on the events that occurred that day and seeing if there’s a possible way for any sort of retrial..
But before that, I’m posting this hoping to hear back from someone with legal experience before I before him tomorrow..
Answer
You really need to retain an attorney. This is not reality TV, and you going up to just speak with someone is not going to have any effect on this case; in fact, it is questionable that anyone for the DA’s office will speak to you out of the blue. You have to go through the process, it will take longer than anyone wants, and the outcome will not be guaranteed. Good luck.
