I was stopped by a state trooper for speeding I pulled over handed the officer my N.V state identification card I had a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender which was out because I was a no show on the day I was supposed to be at the office to register second the reason I was speeding is because its was going on there in the am,I was trying to make it to get ready for work,meanwhile I am homeless the vehicle I was driving wasnt mines at the time and it was borrowed the girl who’s house I was leaving because she let me borrow the vehicle we had just got into a argument…So when I was cuffed and put into the police cruiser the officer searched the vehicle and found a handgun in the arm rest I had no idea it was there so I was also charged with felony possession of a firearm I told the officer it was my vehicle when he first pulled me over ,I did not know there was a gun inside the car I told the cop he wouldn’t believe me….so I go to jail bond out the girl says when she got the car it was bullets and a clip in the back seat …..why did the officer leave the bullets and clip?

You have multiple issues: the failure to register as a sex offender charge, the possession of a firearm by a felon charge, and the speeding/reasonable suspicion for the search of the vehicle issue. Do you want to have a trial regarding any of those issues? If not, why do you believe a Judge or prosecutor would be sympathetic to you on any of those issues? Why did you not appear for your appointment to register as a sex offender? To stay out of jail, you were given certain instructions to follow. You blew them off. Confer with your attorney to discuss this matter in depth, but I believe any plea recommendation will include several years of TDC time.
