How can he/I get copies of the signed extradition waiver and the sheriffs records of time served for incarceration in Ft Worth

Asked 2/8/2016 – Denton, TX

Son currently incarcerated in Denton County Jail and then will be transferred to Houston for warrant for using his brothers name in a traffic stop. Needs to obtain copies of time served in Ft Worth ( 25 days) prior to going to Denton, time served forms for Denton ( has been there for 200 plus days) and a copy of the signed waiver of extradition to go to FL after he finishes here in TX for VOP.

Answer

Any waiver signed by your son will be filed in the court’s records. You may go to the District Clerk of Denton County to obtain copies of anything in your son’s file. You must go to the Denton County Sheriff’s Office to obtain proof of the time he has spent in jail. Ask for a latter of incarceration.
