How does he get a bench warrant to go ahead and be taken to Houston for charge? Using a public defender in Denton & Houston

Bench warrant-
Son has five weeks left on sentence in Denton County Texas and still has a warrant pending in Houston, TX for using his brothers name at a traffic stop. He would like to go ahead and be bench warranted to Houston.

Answer

If Houston has an outstanding warrant for your son’s arrest, they have already notified Denton to hold him after he is finished with his cases up there. Houston will pick him up when his Denton sentence is completed, and he should be given back time credit towards his Houston sentence for all the time he spent in Denton while the Houston warrant was outstanding.
